After a successful recruiting campaign, Auburn is seeing positive momentum. According to USA TODAY Sports’ Paul Myerberg, Auburn has been ranked at No. 44 out of 134 FBS programs following the spring session. This is a significant improvement from their previous ranking of No. 59 before the Music City Bowl loss to Maryland.

Expectations are high for Auburn this season, especially on offense. The team has added several wide receivers from both high school and the transfer portal, providing quarterback Payton Thorne with more options to improve his passing numbers. Freshman Cam Coleman showed promise during spring, ending with an impressive performance at A-Day. Additionally, Auburn added talented receivers KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Robert Lewis from the transfer portal, both of whom were top receivers at their previous schools.

In Myerberg’s rankings, four SEC teams are in the top 10, with Georgia leading the pack, followed by Texas, LSU, and Alabama. Auburn will face four top 25 teams according to Myerberg in the 2024 season, including Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma
