Auburn football’s weekend is set to be thrilling as several top recruits visit the campus. On Sunday, one of Alabama’s top 2026 recruits will join six of Auburn’s top 2025 targets for official visits. Among them is JaMichael Garrett, a four-star linebacker from Gulf Shores High School in Alabama.

Garrett played a pivotal role in Gulf Shores’ state championship run in 2023, with outstanding stats including 87 tackles, 26.5 for a loss, and 9.5 sacks. Experts from 247Sports and On3 have identified Auburn as the front runner to land Garrett. With a crystal ball prediction in favor of Auburn from 247Sports and a 95% chance of earning his commitment from On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Tigers are in a commanding position.

Following a previous visit in March where Garrett was impressed with Auburn’s facilities, he expressed interest in potentially joining the team. The highlight of his trip was a conversation with linebackers coach Josh Aldridge, who made it clear that Auburn is very interested in Garrett and sees him as a potential starter as a freshman.

Garrett is highly regarded as a four-star linebacker in the 2026 class, with top-15 national rankings from all major recruiting outlets. ESPN and 247Sports rank him as high as No. 9 nationally, with listings as the No. 8 recruit from Alabama for the 2026 cycle on On3 and 247Sports.
