As summer holidays approach, airports around the world are preparing for their busiest time of year. However, many major hubs remain consistently busy throughout the year due to their status as international hubs or popular layover destinations. Among these, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport stands out as one of the busiest airports all year round.

According to research by OAG Aviation Worldwide, Atlanta airport tops the list as the busiest airport in the world this month with 5,207,792 seats scheduled to depart in April. Dubai International Airport and Tokyo International Airport follow closely behind with 4,879,128 and 4,460,693 seats respectively.

The top ten busiest airports in the world also include London Heathrow International Airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Istanbul Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Denver International Airport, Chicago O’Hare International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
