In the Baseball Regional, D-4 Vermontville Maple Valley emerged victorious over Concord with a score of 3-2. Carter Arbuckle and Gavin Riske each contributed one hit and one RBI for Concord. Arbuckle also pitched six innings and struck out six batters for the Yellowjackets.
In Boys Basketball action, Team Norris/Dutton defeated Team Seidl/Neill with a score of 100-81. The game showcased seniors from various Jackson area schools, including players from Hanover-Horton, Michigan Center, Jackson High School, Jackson Christian, Lumen Christi, and Columbia Central.
The Girls Soccer Regional Final saw D-4 Lumen Christi defeat Royal Oak Catholic 2-0. The Titans continued their impressive playoff run with a win in the Division 4 regional final, advancing to face Auburn Hills Oakland in the Division 4 state semifinals at Kettering High School in Waterford.
On June 7, Golf State Finals will see Northwest competing at the D-2 State Golf Finals at Forest Akers West, Lumen Christi and individual qualifiers at the D-3 Golf State Final at FSU, and Jackson Christian at the D-4 Golf Finals at GVSU.
On June 8, Baseball Regionals will feature D-3 Lumen Christi versus Lansing Catholic at Rockford and D-4 Lenawee Christian versus the winner of Concord/VM at Cornerstone. Softball Regionals will include D-3 Hanover-Horton versus Buchanan at Constantine and D-3 East Jackson versus Reading at Dansville, along with continued Golf State Finals action for Northwest, Lumen Christi, and Jackson Christian.
