Enzo Barrenechea, an Argentine midfielder, has joined Aston Villa from Juventus. The 20-year-old made 18 appearances for the Italian giants during the previous season and was a part of the team that won the Coppa Italia. He spent last season on loan at Frosinone, and this transfer marks another step in Villa’s recruitment efforts.

Aston Villa has also acquired Samuel Iling-Junior from Juventus as part of a deal that saw Douglas Luiz move to the Serie A giants. Iling-Junior, a London-born winger, has returned to his homeland after spending three seasons with Juventus. During the previous season, he made 27 appearances for Juventus and was a part of the team that won the Coppa Italia.

These new signings showcase Villa’s commitment to building a competitive team ahead of the upcoming season. In addition to Iling-Junior and Barrenechea, Villa previously signed Everton forward Lewis Dobbin and Chelsea full-back Ian Maatsen earlier in the summer. With these talented players joining their ranks, Villa is poised to challenge for promotion next season.
