Aston Villa has announced the signing of Jill Baijings, a midfielder from the Netherlands, on loan from Bayern Munich. This marks Villa’s first addition of the summer transfer window. Baijings played 14 games for Bayern last season, contributing to the team’s Frauen-Bundesliga title retention.

Lee Billiard, Villa’s head of women’s football, expressed excitement about welcoming Baijings to the team. He stated that they have been following her for some time and believe she brings valuable experience and attributes that will enhance the team’s performance on the field.

At just 23 years old, Baijings has already earned eight international caps for the Netherlands. Prior to her time at Bayern Munich, she played for clubs such as Heerenveen, SGS Essen, and Bayer Leverkusen. She signed a three-year contract with Bayern last summer.
