Arnot Health recently celebrated the completion of a state-of-the-art orthopedics facility at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Elmira. The expansion, which took place over the past two years, added an improved waiting room, 19 exam rooms, and two x-ray rooms to the first floor of the Madison Avenue building. This new facility will provide patients with better access to the orthopedic surgery department, thanks to its bright, large, wide hallways that are handicap accessible.

During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Arnot Health President/CEO Jonathan Lawrence expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the creation of this new facility. Dr. Matthew Brand also thanked former surgeons in attendance who were responsible for establishing an orthopedics practice in Elmira, along with all others who played a significant role in bringing this project to fruition.

The upgraded orthopedics facility is set to benefit patients by providing a more comfortable and accessible environment for their treatment and care. The ceremony was attended by numerous individuals who were excited to witness this important milestone that will have a positive impact on the community.
