The investigation into the Mitchell businessman Cory Cumings has led to some alarming discoveries. Recent court documents detail a raid on his home and business, which uncovered drugs and numerous firearms, including a machine gun.

Cumings first made headlines in December when he was arrested on drug and stalking charges in Aurora County. Investigators found drugs and a scale with meth residue in his bedroom, leading to the confiscation of his firearms. Additionally, Cumings threatened to hire a hitman to kill a woman just days before the raid, leading to an arrest for driving under the influence of drugs despite being out on bond for three previous DUI charges.

The legal troubles that have emerged from this investigation have brought to light serious criminal allegations against Cumings and have raised concerns about his potential danger to the community. He is currently scheduled for a court hearing on July 11 concerning his cases in Aurora and Davison Counties.
