Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the “Tavush for the Motherland” movement, announced at a rally that he met with independent deputy Ishkhan Zakaryan, who left the “I have honor” faction in 2021. According to the Archbishop, Zakaryan did not refuse to join the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister. He stated that the opposition factions have overcome the first stage, but two important issues still need to be resolved: the issue of support for the prime minister’s candidate and the missing 18 deputies.

To present a draft resolution of no confidence in the Prime Minister to the Parliament, at least 36 MPs are required. The opposition factions “Armenia” and “I have honor” together have 35 deputies, so one more signature is needed to submit it to parliament. The impeachment process is under discussion, with CP members ruling out any participation in it.
