This announcement was made during the annual Developers Conference (WWDC) where Apple also showcased the capabilities of its new Apple Intelligence ecosystem.

Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, began the presentation by discussing the new features of the upcoming operating system for the Apple Vision Pro headset, VisionOS 2. The new OS provides developers with APIs and unlocks new possibilities for interaction, including Spatial capability in the Photos library. The immersive experience has been enhanced with new gestures and a curved 4K quality monitor-like interface. Train Mode has also been added for using the glasses while traveling. In addition, Canon will soon launch a space lens for its EOS R7 camera to capture high-quality space videos.

VisionOS 2 is now available in developer preview and offers developers new environments and APIs to create even more immersive experiences. The Apple Vision Pro headset will be available in more countries starting with China, Japan, and Singapore in June followed by France, Canada, the UK, and Australia in October.
