Despite the financial challenges faced by Antero GmbH, the company intends to continue operations. The snowboard production company was founded in 2009 and has operated in the former premises of a snowboard factory since 2021. Its goal was to build a new ski and snowboard production facility for premium-class products in Fürnitz. However, the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences have caused retail sales figures to fall short, leading to over-indebtedness. Bankruptcy proceedings have been opened at the Klagenfurt Regional Court, with liabilities totaling 2.274 million euros.

The company originally had 15 employees but currently has only three. Antero GmbH’s online platform offers individual snowboards, winter sports items, textiles, a community, entertainment features, and current information for fans of the board sports scene. Additionally, the company aims to provide companies that produce individual small series for special occasions with its offerings.

In order to make the best possible use of existing raw materials and clarify whether the financial and organizational requirements for a restructuring plan application can be met, Antero GmbH intends to continue operations. The company is owned by Apricum GmbH and reported an accumulated loss of 854,000 euros in the 2022 financial year, with negative equity of 489,000 euros. Around 600,000 euros in liabilities relate to profit participation rights.
