After a sudden flight cancellation in 2021 that left me stranded in Colombia with little help from customer service, I have not considered American Airlines as my preferred choice of airline. However, recently, I flew on an American Boeing 737-800 from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport to New York’s LaGuardia Airport, and the experience has been satisfactory.

The flight was perfectly on time, and I noticed that the communication from the airline had improved significantly. This was a welcome change as it was one of the aspects that frustrated me during my previous experience with the airline. Despite this positive experience, I still remember the lack of communication from the airline during my 2021 incident.

Interestingly, I have come to prefer American’s retrofitted narrowbody cabin over that of its competitors. The overall experience on this flight was positive, and it seems that American Airlines is making strides in customer service and communication. While I am still hesitant to fully trust the airline due to my previous experience, I have noticed improvements in their customer service and communication.
