HBO’s “Hard Knocks” sports docuseries is set to return for the 2024 season with a new twist. This year, the show will focus on an entire division, the AFC North, during the regular season. The Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers are all featured in this edition of the series.
The decision to highlight the AFC North was strategic as all four teams finished above .500 last season with three teams winning 10 or more games. The Ravens led the conference with a 13-4 record. NFL Films made the announcement alongside HBO on Monday.
NFL Films has previously featured some NFC North teams on “Hard Knocks,” including the Ravens in 2001, Bengals in 2009 and 2013, and Browns in 2018. This will be the Steelers’ debut on the show.
“Hard Knocks” introduced an in-season edition during the 2021 season with the Indianapolis Colts followed by Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins in subsequent years. The upcoming NFL campaign will have three versions of the show featuring New York Giants during training camp and Chicago Bears during training camp.
The series premieres on December 3 at 9 p.m ET on HBO and will be available for streaming on Max. Each Tuesday, a new episode will be released through January until playoffs.
