The air traffic controllers union that had planned a strike from Tuesday to Thursday at the Paris-Orly airport has decided to lift the strike notice. This decision was announced by an official from the Unsa-Icna union, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. The union made this decision in light of recent political developments in the country and internal issues at the General Directorate of Civil Aviation.

Unsa-Icna had called for additional recruitment and had planned a three-day strike to demand this. The union is the second representative union of air traffic controllers, with only 17% of the votes in the last professional elections. However, due to several factors, including dissociation from other unions and concerns over flight cancellations, they have decided not to go ahead with the strike.

The leading organization representing controllers, SNCTA, had dissociated itself from the strike, calling it an isolated action. Unsa-Icna had previously called a strike in May, resulting in the cancellation of 70% of flights at Orly. The strike in April caused widespread flight cancellations across France and Europe. As a result, the Acting Award was paused.
