Courtney Forester, the founder of Air City Cannabis, has always been passionate about creating a safe and welcoming environment for people to access high-quality cannabis products. As the first licensed cannabis dispensary in Mohawk Valley, Air City is committed to destigmatizing cannabis and providing customers with an educational experience. The dispensary’s name, “Air City,” was inspired by Rome and the Griffiss Air Force Base. While the first retail location is in Utica, there are plans to expand into Rome and surrounding areas.
Forester, who also owns i-Candies Fashion Boutique, has been in the business world for 12 years and saw an opportunity in the burgeoning cannabis industry to create a unique setting that was different from other dispensaries. Air City offers a wide selection of lab-tested and state-regulated products including flowers, edibles, tinctures, drinks, and more to help with issues such as pain and stress. The dispensary takes pride in educating its customers on responsible use of cannabis products.
To promote responsible use of cannabis products, Air City provides free lockboxes for customers with children or pets to keep their products safely away from curious minds. Forester herself is not a daily user but uses cannabis on occasion to relax her mind and alleviate stress. She is determined to shed light on safe use of cannabis and educate customers on proper consumption methods.
Located at 1707 Oriskany Street West in Utica, Air City Cannabis is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., closing at 8 p.m
