St Rose of Lima School recently held its annual Kindergarten Science Fair, where the kindergarten students showcased their creativity and curiosity through engaging and interactive science experiments. The event was hosted by teacher Donna Rahtelli in her classroom, where the students had their experiment presentations set up throughout the room. Each student stood by their experiment with a pointer, eagerly ready to share their process.

Family, friends, and students gathered in Donna Rahtelli’s classroom on Thursday, May 30 for the school’s annual Kindergarten Science Fair. Students like Giovanni Grates presented experiments on static electricity, using a balloon to separate pepper from salt in a mixture. Harper Deblasio created a cloud in a bottle experiment by rolling rubbing alcohol inside an empty bottle and pumping air into it to form a cloud. Meanwhile, Amelia Phillips explored moon phases by using cream filling from sandwich cookies to represent the different lunar stages.

These engaging and interactive experiments showcased the creativity and curiosity of the kindergarten students at St Rose of Lima School. The annual Kindergarten Science Fair provides a platform for students to explore the wonders of science in a hands-on and exciting way, thanks to the school’s dedication to implementing innovative programs through educational grants.
