Bayern Munich has announced the signing of 22-year-old French U21 international Michael Olise from Crystal Palace in the upcoming summer transfer window. Olise will sign a contract with Bayern that will keep him in Germany until 2029. The German club activated the release clause in Olise’s contract with Crystal Palace, valued at €60 million.

Crystal Palace had been informed of Bayern Munich’s intention to trigger the release clause and negotiate personal terms with Olise. The negotiations were successful, and Olise is now set to make the move to Bayern Munich. This decision comes as a blow to Chelsea, who had previously been leading the race to sign Olise and were ahead of Manchester United in the competition, according to reports from Foot Mercato.

Although Manchester United showed interest in Olise, they were not willing to meet his release clause. However, Bayern Munich’s last-minute offer has now secured Olise’s transfer to the German club. With this development, Olise will now be joining Vincent Kompany at Bayern Munich, leaving Chelsea and Manchester United behind in the race for his signature.
