Fleet operators and drivers have varying opinions about advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that are designed to help prevent accidents and save lives. While many motor carriers have already implemented various ADAS technologies into their safety programs, there is still a portion of the industry that has yet to invest in these systems.

On June 25th at 2 p.m. ET, you can watch the live show where Jeff Loftus, the chief of the advanced technology division at FMCSA’s office of research and registration, will discuss how fleet operators and drivers view these driver-assist systems and what plans are in store for phase 2 of the TechCelerate Now initiative. Systems like automatic emergency braking, lane departure warnings, and onboard camera systems can not only improve highway safety but also make trucking operations more efficient.

In earlier this year, FMCSA revealed a second contract for its TechCelerate Now program, which is focused on speeding up the adoption of ADAS to help prevent accidents and save lives. To watch the live show, be sure to register using the form below if you haven’t already done so.
