This offseason, safety Amani Hooker faced a new challenge with the arrival of a new coaching staff, including defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson. Despite his experience, Hooker had to learn the new defensive scheme alongside his less experienced teammates. He noted that the new scheme is much more aggressive than what the team was doing in the past, but the coaching staff has been instrumental in teaching when to be aggressive and when to hold back.

The Titans made some key additions to their defense this offseason, including cornerbacks L’Jarius Sneed and Chidobe Awuzie. These additions, combined with the aggressive approach, are expected to help the team generate turnovers and improve field position. If the defense can continue to be aggressive and make plays, it could set the stage for better offensive results as well. Amani Hooker’s experience with the team has allowed him to identify the key differences in the new defensive scheme and he remains focused on learning and improving within the new system.

One of the longest-tenured Titans defenders, safety Amani Hooker had always been known for his ability to adapt quickly to change. However, this offseason presented a unique challenge: learning a new defensive scheme under a new coaching staff. Despite his experience on defense, he had never encountered anything like this before. But he was determined not to let that deter him from doing his job effectively.

Hooker knew that he needed to learn fast if he was going to keep up with his younger teammates who were also struggling with adjusting to the new system. And so he threw himself into studying every aspect of it, from understanding how each position worked together on defense to mastering specific techniques for intercepting passes.

He found that while there were many similarities between what he had done before and what was now required of him, there were also significant differences that needed careful study and practice in order to get right.

But one thing that stood out most clearly was just how different this new approach felt compared to what they had done before – much more aggressive than anything they had ever tried before.

At first Hooker worried that this might lead them down a path toward recklessness or carelessness on defense – but then he remembered that it wasn’t just about being bold or daring; it was also about knowing when not to take unnecessary risks.

And so he worked closely with his fellow defenders as well as their coaches Dennard Wilson and Dean Pees (their previous defensive coordinator) throughout preseason practices and scrimmages alike – making sure everyone understood exactly how best
