In Baltimore, a boutique hotel is currently undergoing construction on West Mulberry Street. The Harper’s, the directors of innovation at the hotel, have big plans for this location. They aim to make it a hub for small businesses in downtown Baltimore and close the wealth gap by providing a space for entrepreneurs to showcase their products to hotel guests.

The Harper’s also own Harp Business at Lexington Market and understand the struggles that small business owners face. They hope to use the Mulberry Hotel as a platform to feature and promote small businesses, helping them gain exposure and learn how to raise capital to grow their businesses.

With a focus on social impact businesses, such as their own body care products company that helps individuals with mental and physical discomfort, the Harper’s are searching for businesses that are making Baltimore a better place. They believe that by featuring these types of businesses in the hotel, it will benefit both the entrepreneurs and the local community.

The $3.2 million Mulberry Hotel will consist of five one-bedroom units with laundry facilities and full kitchens. The Harper’s believe that the combination of these amenities and the hotel’s downtown location will greatly benefit small local business owners. Those interested in learning more about the project can attend a meeting at the Mulberry Hotel on June 6 at 1 pm.
