Trey McBride, the tight end for the Arizona Cardinals, has been announced as the keynote speaker for the upcoming 2024 Arizona High School Sports Awards. The event is presented by Diamond Kitchen and Bath in partnership with Western States Home Services. Taking place on June 17 at the Arizona Financial Theatre, this nine-month program recognizes outstanding student-athletes, coaches, and teams from across the state.

Originally from Colorado, McBride excelled as a multi-sport athlete during his formative years. He still holds high school records for points scored in basketball and career home runs and runs batted in for baseball. McBride went on to play college football at Colorado State where he received numerous academic and athletic accolades including being named first team All-Mountain West twice, invited to the Senior Bowl and awarded The John Mackey Award for college football’s most outstanding tight end. As a second-round draft pick for the Cardinals in 2022, McBride had an impressive sophomore season ranking him top ten for receiving yards and receptions among tight ends. His achievements on and off the field have solidified his status as a rising star in the NFL.
