The NFL schedule was released last week, and 30 teams were ecstatic to learn they would be playing prime time games this season. However, the Panthers were left out of the fun. Despite having a standalone game against the Giants in Germany in Week 10, the Panthers will primarily be playing Sunday afternoon games for the rest of the season.

Head coach Dave Canales acknowledged the team’s absence from prime time games, attributing it to their disappointing 2-15 season. Canales stressed the need for the team to earn their spot in prime time. He mentioned that prime-time games are not given out for no reason, and the team needs to build a strong version of football that they can be proud of.

Canales expressed confidence that the team would eventually reach a point where they could compete for prime-time slots, but acknowledged that they still have a long way to go. He believes that by focusing on building a team that highlights the strengths and talents of their players, the Panthers can eventually earn their spot in prime-time games.
