Taylor Heise is a 24-year-old forward for the U.S. Women’s National Team and has been selected as the first overall pick in the inaugural PWHL Draft last year. She values the opportunity to be on the ice with people who have made significant contributions to the sport of hockey, seeing it as a privilege to learn from them every day. Her appreciation for the sport and those involved in it is evident in her dedication and hard work.

Heise will be representing her country with pride at the upcoming World Championship, which will be her sixth, with the senior team for the third time. The USA will be facing Switzerland in the preliminary round on Wednesday night, showcasing Heise’s talents on an international stage.

As a hockey player, Heise recognizes the sacrifices made both on and off the ice to reach her level of success. She acknowledges the growth of women’s sports and the impact of those who have contributed to its development. Having been drafted by her home state team, Minnesota, in the PWHL, she has showcased her skills in that league before transitioning to Team USA for the IIHF Women’s World Championship in Utica.

Coming from a basketball family, Heise chose hockey early on and never looked back due to her passion for it. Her excelled performance at University of Minnesota before being drafted into PWHL led to this momentous occasion where she is preparing for her sixth world championship title and third with senior team title while honored to be part of such prestigious program.
