Deshaun Watson returned to 7-on-7 work in front of reporters for the first time this offseason during Tuesday’s minicamp practice. He expressed gratitude for being back on the field after a long recovery from a right shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery last year.

Despite missing the entire 2021 season and being suspended for 11 games in 2022 before his injury, Watson has learned to value every opportunity to practice and play. He emphasized the importance of making the most of each rep, knowing that time lost cannot be regained.

Watson has been following a specific throwing protocol during the Browns’ OTAs to ensure his shoulder is in top shape for the regular season. He mentioned that the plan may change once training camp begins, as there are always checkpoints in the recovery process.

As the offseason program wraps up, Watson stated that he feels comfortable with his progress. Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Watson is focused on performing well and helping the Browns succeed both now and in the future.
