Pittsburgh families who have lost unborn or newborn babies found solace at a special event hosted by Allegheny Health Network and Olivia’s Angels Bereavement. The annual butterfly release ceremony took place in the Wintergarden Room at West Penn Hospital, where families came together to support one another through their grief. Commemorative poems were read before the families ventured outside to release butterflies in memory of their lost children.

Over 20 local families participated in the event this year, some creating art and receiving bags to remember their little ones. This special gathering provided a safe space for parents to share their stories and connect with others who have gone through similar experiences.
