In the Potsdam election, six women and five men representing various parties and voting groups are vying for a seat on the city council. Each candidate has their own vision for how to improve the city. Anja Günther, a biochemist born in 1975, advocates for an inclusive and affordable Potsdam for all residents. Lars Eichert, a lawyer born in 1965, is focused on creating sufficient and affordable housing for all residents. Steffen Pfrogner, an urban planner and architect born in 1960, wants to make it possible for low and middle-income households to stay in the city.

Denise Leonhardt (SPD), born in 1991, is a social scientist who believes that the south of Potsdam should be a desirable place to live with less garbage, preserved nature and more spaces for all generations to gather. Antje Bensching (Greens), born in 1983, is a Compliance Manager who aims to provide social services directly in neighborhoods to give voice to marginalized groups such as those at risk of poverty, single parents, children, people with disabilities and migrants.
