A group of 12 current NBA and G League players, two with international or USA Basketball experience, and one incoming college freshman have been named to the 2024 USA Basketball select team. The team includes former Wisconsin Badgers Micah Potter and Nigel Hayes.
Potter has been playing in the G League since starting his professional career in 2021, currently playing for the Salt Lake Stars, the affiliate of the Utah Jazz. Hayes, on the other hand, has had a diverse professional basketball career with stints in the NBA and teams in Turkey, Lithuania, and Spain. Recently, he won the 2024 Turkish League Championship with Fenerbahçe Beko.
