U.S. News & World Report has recently published its rankings of the top high schools across the United States, with over 200 schools in Kentucky included in the list. The publication evaluated nearly 25,000 schools based on factors such as college readiness, graduation rates, and state assessment proficiency to determine the rankings. Despite criticism for favoring wealthier communities, Kentucky schools were well-represented in the rankings.

Among the schools recognized in Kentucky, 28 JCPS magnet schools and programs will no longer receive busing. The list of top schools included a variety of institutions from different areas of the state. In Kentucky, the top ten high schools according to U.S. News & World Report were highlighted. In addition to this, the best public high schools in Lexington were identified based on the ranking criteria. Furthermore, the top ten public high schools in Louisville were also noted by U.S. News & World Report’s ranking methodology.
