Starting on May 8, the NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids is launching a six-month entrepreneur training program called the FLO Business Hub. The Fellowship for Launching Opportunities program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed in a competitive business environment. With a cost of $249, limited scholarships are available for those who cannot afford the fee.

Those who sign up for the FLO Business Hub program will meet three times a month for classes, peer review sessions, and networking events. Led by business professionals, the classes will cover topics such as writing business plans, establishing banking relationships, building brand identity, and developing marketing strategies. In addition to these sessions, participants will also have access to insider information, priority consideration for opportunities at NewBo City Market, discounts on vendor rates, and entry to monthly networking events.
