Maurice Demond Davis was found guilty of murder and possession of a firearm after a Macon County jury deliberated for only 53 minutes. The jury convicted him of shooting and killing MiKayce Parker during an argument at a Tuskegee business. Davis will be sentenced on May 9, and the prosecution is seeking to have him sentenced as a habitual offender due to his prior felonies.
