The fifth annual outdoor living design competition focused on creating beautiful landscapes that connect with nature. Winners from Southern California to southwest England showcased unique designs that harmoniously blended home and garden.

Interior designer Bunny Williams and Institute of Classical Architecture & Art president Peter Lyden were among the judges who selected the top 22 entries for the 2024 World’s Most Beautiful Gardens. The four winning landscapes invited visitors to explore hidden oases and immerse themselves in the serenity of nature. From tropical poolside whimsy in Los Angeles to modern reflections in Bridgehampton, each design showcased a different aspect of outdoor living.

The most romantic comeback story in San Gabriel Valley and a wild salute to the countryside in Dorset, England rounded out the winners. The competition’s methodology included blind judging by Williams and Lyden, with VERANDA editors selecting the top entries for consideration.
