The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, led by King Abdullah II, played a crucial role in fending off an Iranian attack on Israel on April 14. As the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, the monarch made it clear that Jordan would not tolerate its territory being used as a battleground between Israel and Iran.
