President Emomali Rahmon of Tajikistan is set to visit Azerbaijan in the latter part of May, as announced by his staff. The preparations for the visit were extensively discussed by the respective heads of the foreign ministries of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, Sirojidin Mukhridin and Jeihun Bayramov, during a recent meeting of CIS foreign ministers in Minsk.

During President Rahmon’s visit to Azerbaijan, various events are planned to enhance cultural and business ties between the two countries. These include Days of culture of Tajikistan, Day of Tajik cinema, and a Tajik-Azerbaijani business forum to be held in Azerbaijan in the second week of May. In addition to strengthening bilateral relations, President Rahmon and President Aliyev are expected to engage in discussions on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
