Bedford’s girls soccer team dominated Ypsilanti Lincoln with a score of 10-0, thanks to a standout performance by Avry Madalinski who scored three goals and Elizabeth Klocek who added two goals and three assists. Lexi Ripple, Kamryn Clifton, Madden Mosley, Maddie Helpman also contributed to the team’s goal tally. Ewing and Helpman had two assists each, while Napier, Mosley, and Clifton also received credit for their contributions.

Meanwhile in prep track and field news, Bedford’s boys team overcame an initial second place finish at the Holland Springfield Invitational to be declared champions with 134 points compared to Whitmer’s 133 points.

In college basketball news, Joey Liedel from Erie Mason was named to the National Junior College Division II All-America second team. As a freshman at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, Liedel averaged 21.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He also set a school record with 51 points in a game. Liedel was joined by his former Mason teammate John Sweeney who averaged 10.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a freshman at the same college.
