The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have recognized four outstanding Tufts University swimmers for their exceptional performance in both the pool and classroom. Graduate student Peter LaBarge, along with juniors Emmett Adams, Charlie Duffy, and Eric Lundgren were named to the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men’s Swimming & Diving Teams. This is a prestigious award that recognizes significant contributors to their team with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA at their current institution. Each team is limited to four nominations, and individuals must compete in at least four competitions or finish in the top eight at a conference meet to be eligible.

Adams studies psychology/clinical, Duffy studies human factors engineering, Lundgren studies environmental engineering, and LaBarge studies biology. These talented athletes have demonstrated excellence in both academics and athletics while representing Tufts University on the swim team. Under the leadership of head coach Adam Hoyt, the Tufts team finished ninth at the NCAA Division III Championships in March and was the runner-up in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

The CSC Academic All-America® program recognizes honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees will have the opportunity to advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with first, second, and third-team honorees being announced on April 24th.
