Houston Astros pitcher Ronel Blanco made history on Monday night by throwing the first no-hitter of the major league baseball season. Blanco, a right-handed pitcher, led his team to a 10-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays by striking out seven batters and only walking two. His performance was flawless, starting the game by walking George Springer but quickly finding his rhythm.

As Blanco approached the final moments of the game, tension was high as he walked Springer once again with two outs in the ninth inning. However, Blanco kept his composure and managed to retire Vladimir Guerrero Jr. with a groundout to secure his place in history. The moment of victory was marked by Blanco’s broad smile as he raised his arms in triumph before being surrounded by jubilant teammates.

This remarkable no-hitter was the 17th in Astros history and the first in the major leagues since Michael Lorenzen achieved the feat for the Philadelphia Phillies against the Washington Nationals last year. Blanco’s stellar performance showcased his talent and skill as a pitcher, solidifying his place in baseball history.
