Michael Penix put on a show at Washington’s Pro Day with his athleticism on full display. In one attempt at the 40-yard dash, he ran a hand-timed 4.53 seconds, while also recording an impressive 36 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot, 5-inch broad jump during the throwing session. Although he missed a couple of throws out of 60 attempts in the throwing session, overall he felt good about his performance.

Penix is expected to be a late first-round pick after two successful years at UW, where he led the team to the national title game last season and boasted impressive stats. The New York Giants had a significant presence at his Pro Day, with Head coach Brian Daboll, offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney and other key personnel in attendance to evaluate his abilities.
