The “Fifth Generation Advanced (5G-A) Technology Forum” recently took place in Dubai, bringing together senior executives and experts from the ICT sector around the world. The purpose of the forum was to discuss the transition from fifth generation technology to advanced fifth generation (5G-A) and the technical developments and impacts associated with this transition.

The forum, which took place during the SAMENA summit for telecommunications sector leaders, aimed to chart the future of 5G technology, launch its advanced stage, and explore the opportunities presented by transitioning to the new generation of telecommunications networks. Participants at the forum included high-level speakers and guests from telecommunications companies, regulatory bodies, international organizations, technology companies, and telecommunications sector partners in the region.

During the forum, Engineer Saif Bin Ghalita, Executive Director of the Technology Development Affairs Department at the Communications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, delivered the opening speech. He emphasized the commitment to developing a national plan for the advanced fifth generation network and allocating frequency spectrum to support the development of mobile phone networks.
