On Tuesday evening, June 25, more than 55 new graduate nurses were welcomed into the McLeod Health family at a celebration signing day event held at the Florence Center. The event was similar to athletic signing day events where athletes commit to play college sports, but these nurses signed their letters of intent to work for McLeod Health.

The new graduates had the opportunity to take photos, receive gifts, and interact with each other as they were officially welcomed into the McLeod Health community. Donna Isgett, RN, President & Chief Executive Officer of McLeod Health, expressed her excitement for the new nurses and encouraged them to pursue their goals in nursing, emphasizing the limitless opportunities available in the field.

Octavia Williams Blake, Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer at McLeod, highlighted the importance of recruiting and retaining top employees. She expressed gratitude for the new nurses joining the McLeod Health team and emphasized that the organization’s people are its greatest asset. The attending nurses were graduates of various institutions including Francis Marion University, Central Carolina Technical College, Williamsburg Technical College among others.
