Maximilian Beier, a 21-year-old forward from TSG Hoffenheim, is reportedly catching the attention of Chelsea, according to Florian Plettenberg. The Premier League club has been gathering information on the talented young player and could potentially make a move for him during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Beier had an impressive season with Hoffenheim, scoring 16 goals and providing 3 assists in the Bundesliga. He also set his sights on making Germany’s squad for Euro 2024 and achieved that goal. Despite not having played in the competition yet, it is clear that Beier has great potential to become a key player for the German national team in the future.

However, signing Beier won’t come cheap as he has a release clause of approximately €30m+ salary and signing fees. Besides Chelsea, there are other Premier League teams and Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen also vying for his services. While Chelsea’s interest is notable, they currently may not be the front-runners in the race to secure Beier’s services. It will be interesting to see where he ends up as the transfer window approaches.
