Penn State secured a commitment from highly sought-after cornerback Jahmir Joseph from Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey. Joseph, a Rivals250 four-star prospect, chose the Nittany Lions following an official visit to Happy Valley over the weekend. He is ranked as the No. 2 player in New Jersey, the No. 12 cornerback, and the No. 138 prospect overall in the class of 2025.

Joseph had also taken official visits to Stanford and Notre Dame before choosing Penn State. He had additional scholarship offers from several other schools before ultimately deciding to become a Nittany Lion. The commitment marks a significant addition to the Penn State defense, particularly in the secondary, with Head coach James Franklin and his staff playing a key role in securing Joseph’s decision.

With this commitment, Penn State now has a strong defensive back class in the 2025 recruiting cycle. In total, the Nittany Lions have 15 commits in the 2025 class, including nine four-star prospects, positioning them well in the national team recruiting rankings. Joseph’s talents as a physical defensive back with strong tackling skills and ball-hawking abilities will be valuable additions to the team.
