At just 18 years old, Perez is one of the most promising players in Betis’ youth system. With his contract set to expire in a year, Inter Milan saw an opportunity to secure his services.
Perez himself was eager to join Inter this summer and refused to sign a contract extension with Betis. He was willing to sit out the entire season rather than remain on the sidelines at Betis. Eventually, Betis agreed to the transfer and allowed Perez to make his move to Inter Milan.
Perez began his career at Rayo Vallecano before joining Betis in 2024. He was promoted to Betis Deportivo, the club’s B team, in January of this year. It is expected that Perez will initially move to Inter Milan on loan with an option to buy, with a potential placement in the Primavera squad. Inter has promised Perez a potential promotion to the senior team after his first season in Italy, provided he performs well. If not, they may loan him out to gain additional experience.
