In Elmira, NY, the 18 Sports Plays of the Week is back with another exciting episode featuring the best highlights from local sports in the Twin Tiers region. The 18 Sports team has compiled an impressive list of moments from this week’s games, including a standout softball play and four major college baseball highlights.
The top play of the week came from Nicole Moffe of HGSA 18 and Up Division softball league, who delivered an impressive inning-ending play in a game against her hometown team. Meanwhile, in the PGCBL, Cooper Smith of Elmira Pioneers hit a walk-off 2-RBI double to secure a victory over Newark.
In the second half of this week’s list, we have two exciting plays from Horseheads Hitmen. Elmira grad Jack Carozzoni hit a towering home run against Dansville, while Matt Procopio and Kyler Hickman teamed up for an exciting play to end an inning.
