The 2024 European Championships served as the second qualifier for the upcoming World Games in Chengdu in 2025. Six spots were awarded to the medallists in the compound events, with Denmark, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, and Türkiye earning quotas. This brings the total number of nations on the roster to 10 after two qualifying events.

In addition to the European Championships, six spots were also awarded at the Pan American Championships in early April. Colombian compounder Sara Lopez secured a place at what will likely be her fourth World Games with a third-place finish. Lopez previously won the multisport event in 2017 but fell short in the final in 2022 to Ella Gibson, who was recently crowned European Champion.

Field archery for recurve and barebow archers has been a part of the World Games since 1985, with compound archery introduced in 1993. The competition for compound archers switched to target archery in 2013. Qualification for the next edition of the games will continue at continental championships leading up to 2025.
